The importance of the ratio in the preparation of coffee:
The ratio is the proportion of coffee and water that we use. The intensity or concentration of the coffee will be determined by the recipe that we are going to follow or the chosen method of preparation.
There is a recommended ratio for each method that balances the extraction of flavors:
Espresso: 1:1 to 1:3 (One gram of coffee for every 1 to 3 grams of water).
Moka: 1:7 (One gram of coffee for every 7 grams of water)
Filter Coffee: 1:15 to 1:17 (One gram of coffee for each 15 to 17 grams of water)
Pressed Coffee: 1:15 to 1:18 (One gram of coffee for each 15 to 18 grams of water)
